Natural capital is the stock of natural assets that support our environment, economy, and society. These assets include woodlands, soils, rivers, wetlands, grasslands, hedgerows, wildlife, clean air, and water. Healthy natural capital provides essential ecosystem services such as flood mitigation, water purification, soil protection, pollination, carbon storage, and biodiversity enhancement.
Recognising the value of these natural assets enables landowners to make informed decisions that improve environmental resilience while creating opportunities for diversified income. Through strategic management, natural capital can unlock grant funding, participation in emerging environmental markets, carbon credits, biodiversity initiatives, and long-term improvements in farm productivity and resilience.

Carbon Sequestration
Carbon sequestration is the natural process of capturing and storing atmospheric carbon dioxide (CO₂), helping to reduce greenhouse gas concentrations and mitigate climate change. Trees, soils, peatlands, wetlands, and healthy grasslands all play an important role by absorbing carbon and storing it for decades or even centuries.
Modern woodland creation goes beyond simply planting trees. We work with landowners to design resilient woodlands using a range of planting densities, species mixtures, and establishment techniques that are tailored to individual site conditions and long-term objectives.
